NOTE: It’s fun little stories like these that turn mundane or stressful days at the office into islands of joy. I couldn’t keep from singing along with the team when I first saw the video, and knew I wasn’t going to be alone. KSU and its community was very excited for its inaugural season of football, and this viral video encapsulated that excitement perfectly.
Kennesaw State University’s football team is getting positive attention well in advance of the program’s first-ever football game in September.
A video recorded in the KSU weightroom shows the team joining in to sing the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell hit “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” at the end of another grueling lifting session on Friday.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the video has already garnered over 45,000 views. The video was scheduled to appear on Good Morning America Wednesday but did not come on, a KSU football fan page said.
The new football program will have a full slate of six home games after scheduling a Sept. 19 contest against Shorter University. The school was originally planning on playing against Paine College, but that school suspended its football program, AthlonSports says.
